When you are younger you have no idea

Of the relevance of time

What it means, or how much you have

Wishing desperately that you could have it all back

So many things I miss, that I didn’t know I had

Everything I’ve loved and lost

Has slipped in between the cracks

When someone you love is gone

When someone you love has died

It feels like all your memories and the moments you shared

Have all faded to black

And as time goes on, and years pass

The memories are harder to recollect

It leaves you wishing desperately

That you could have it all back
