Your Smile

When I picture your face, I see your smile

it was what you greeted me with every time I had the honor of spending

time with you

Saying goodbye to you was so hard

Something I wish I never had to do

But it was in that moment where I also got to say

How much I truly love you

I said it all along, there was never a time you didn’t know

I have no regrets

There is nothing left unsaid

And while I wish we had more time

I am thankful for the time we had

You are in my heart forever

It is where you will always be

And when I close my eyes

the only thing that I will see

Is your beautiful smile

staring back at me

I always loved your smile

Especially the way you smiled at me

Goodbye John… Thank you for being my friend.
