Grief can be rainbows on a really stormy day

It can be gale force winds with skies filled with grey

It can be sunshine and clouds

It can be totally quiet and then screaming out loud

It can be gentle and safe

And pain so great

That every time you feel

Everything you are feeling

Every bone in your body aches

Grief is messy

Grief is mean

It can be a million different things

But at the end of the day

What grief is to me

Is the feelings we feel when we miss someone deeply

So be with it right now, feel whatever comes your way

And know that however you are feeling

Is truly okay.

This is your grief!

No one gets to tell you what that should look or feel like.
